Spitefic: Minako and the Child of Light

kudzumac For Minako, she and her partner Gatomon had a damned good reason to panic right now- mainly because Yun had just dropped into a Digital Hole after a battle, so while they were panicking, they failed to notice that time was slowing down around them inside the construction site, until Gatomon spoke up.
"Mina! Look, Nyan!" the cat digimon said, causing the violet-eyed blonde to look around and notice how gray the world around them had become.
"What's going on?" Minako said in confusion, "It's.... as if the world suddenly stopped?"
"Well, that's what happens when the Suefluence leaves the story for a time," a boyish, somewhat grumpy sounding voice then said behind Minako, causing her to yelp in surprise, before she and Gatomon turned around to see something surprising. Well, two things. The first was a purple furry digimon with small wings, a red gem on his head and overall looked like a cross between a dinosaur and a fox. The other thing was a cute girl a couple of years younger than Mina, with her brown hair in pigtails and her hazel eyes looking annoyed as she smoothed out her stylish looking pink and white dress. Of course, Minako's first instinct was to whip out her digivice and scan the mysterious digimon- at least she assumed it was a digimon, just to see what it was- especially since she hadn't seen such a digimon before.
To her surprise, the info that popped up was more detailed than usual.
"Dorumon, Rookie Level, Data Type Beast Digimon. Moves are... This can't be right!" she said, earning a confused look from Gatomon and an annoyed look from Dorumon's yellow eyes while the girl sighed and shook her head as Minako continued, "It-It's six moves are Dino Tooth, Metal Shoot, Dash Metal, Hyper Dash Metal, Metal Cannon and... Alpha In-Force? A-And it's a Combat Species Protoype Digimon with the X-Antibody!? Wh-What does that even mean!?"
"I know my own moves and lore, kid," Dorumon then said in annoyance, before looking to the girl he was with, "Anyway Megan, don't forget our mission here."
"I know Dorumon," the girl, Megan said with a sigh, before her rather boring looking hazel eyes looked into Minako's violet ones, "Anyway, my name is Megan Foster, it's nice to meet you!"
"Um... Minako Omori... nice to meet you too?" Minkao said, feeling very confused at the moment. Who was this strange girl, and why did she have a digimon? More importantly, where was her digivice and why was time seemingly stopped? Also, what was the Suefluence that Dorumon mentioned?
There was just so many questions.
"I'm Gatomon! Nyan!" Minako's partner then said, extending a claw towards Dorumon who merely harrumphed and looked away.
"I know what a Gatomon is," Dorumon said, whlie Megan sighed.
"Dorumon... please be nice!" Megan pleaded, before looking to Minako, "Sorry about him, he's... well, kind of a grumpy old digimon at heart, and also has standards when it comes to digimon that can fight."
"He's a rookie, right? So why does you make him sound like a grizzled old warrior?" Minako said in confusion, before she saw Megan mess with her watch- which Minako then noticed seemed to have a touch screen and a button that was labeled Digivolve! "Is... that watch your Digivice?"
"Yep!" Megan said as she held up her dark blue and silver watch, "My group calls them D-Watches, and I'm basically from an alternate Earth filled with super heroes! In my world, me and my friends were brought to the Digital World to help the Resistance movement there free it!"
"I...I see, I think...?" Minako said, before remembering what Dorumon said, "And... Dorumon mentioned a mission?"
"Yeah," Megan said, with a sigh, "I'm... kind of here to just talk to you, Minako... about what you might be planning to do."
"What are you talking about!?" Minako said, while Gatomon looked at her partner in confusion and worry.
"Well, in our universe... your story is recorded for others to look at so... um..." Megan began, before Dorumon spoke up.
"Let's get right to the point, Minako. Megan and I know about Kiyoshi, what happened to him, and the lengths your parents are making to make sure you don't join him," Dorumon said, causing Gatomon to look even more confused. Minako however, seemed much more afraid now, with how blunt Dorumon was about it, before a feeling of rage overcame Minako.
"How," she said coldly, scaring her own partner as she continued, "How the heck do you even know what I'm feeling!? You're a digimon, you don't know what it's like to lose a sibling, and Megan, you probably haven't been in my shoes either! So how do you even have the gall to say you know about me!?"
"Because I'm from a different Digital World, some digimon have family relations," Dorumon said, not even phased by Mina's outburst. "I have a brother, Minako, and I was forced to kill him once to save my Digital World as a digimon called Alphamon. However, to fully reset the Digital World, I had to use my sword to get the button to even move, and decided to kill myself so that my brother and I could be reborn together. However, because I was chosen to be Megan's partner, I had to wait decades for my rebirth, and while I did reunite with my little brother, the pain of what I had to do still lingers. So, while I may not understand loss for Humans as well as you and Megan, I do know what it feels to have loss of family as a digimon. So don't go saying a damn thing about me not knowing what it's like."
Minako was surprised to hear this story, but something Dorumon said clicked as she looked to Megan, who was sadly silent through out Dorumon's speech.
"Megan?" Minako said, while Gatomon held her hand in her paw- not that Minako actually noticed for the moment.
"I... I witnessed a digimon kill my Daddy when I was six," Megan said, causing Minako's eyes to widen in horror, "But, unlike you, I got help from Mommy as she put me into therapy to help me cope. You... You should probably talk to your family about your brother, Minako. Before it's too late. You seem like a good girl, Minako, and... and if you hurt yourself, then you hurt your friends and family too."
Minako glared at Megan, the heartbroken child soon yelling at the girl in pigtails. "LEAVE ME ALONE! You don't know anything about my life, about my pain! So don't go around telling me what to---"
She never finished her sentence, as before she knew it, Megan slapped Minako hard across the face. Minako stared in shock as Megan's hand remained raised, primed to attack again just in case the girl needed to, all while Megan's body glowed with a pink light.

With those last words, Megan and Dorumon turned around to leave, only for Gatomon to reach out and grab Dorumon's tail.
"Wait, Nyan!" the cat digimon said, "W-Why don't you join the Digimon Brigade? We can be friends! Nyan!"
"Because we're Digivengers, and don't belong in this world, Gatomon. Besides, you two won't even remember this conversation once we're gone," Dorumon said, and before their eyes, the two vanished, and just as Dorumon said, their minds became foggy as the world around them returned to normal as their memories of this event became sealed away... at least until the next encounter with the Child of Light and her grumpy partner...
